Christmas Gifts
Buying gifts for lottery players is something that will be on the to-do lists of many people as we enter the last week before Christmas 2007. As this is my last Lottery Blog entry before the big day, I thought I’d help to make the task easier by offering a few suggestions of things that I wouldn’t mind discovering in my own stocking...
Money Clip – No, I’m not the kind of guy who walks around with thousands of pounds worth of bank notes in his pocket, but an attractive money clip would be useful to keep my lottery tickets together in one place. An added bonus is that if one of my tickets were to prove lucky, I just might start carrying lots of bank notes around, and this would make the money clip doubly useful.
Money Plant – If the Lotto player in your life also happens to have green fingers you might like to buy them a money plant to sit on a desk or bookshelf. According to people who believe in Feng Shui, placing a money plant in the Eastern section of a room can help the owner to experience more prosperity. I personally think that’s a tad far-fetched, but it’s a nice idea all the same.
Lottery Book – There are a number of books about lotteries that look like interesting reads. The easiest way to find a title that is suitable for the recipient is to visit an online bookstore such as Amazon and do a search on “Lottery”. Just remember that you’ll need to act quickly for your order to be delivered in time.
Lottery Subscription – If none of the previous ideas appeal to you, my final suggestion is a lottery subscription – the lottery gift that keeps on giving. Subscriptions allow you to enter a specified set of numbers (a Lucky Dip is always popular) for as many consecutive weeks as you like. An alternative to a full-blown subscription is to buy a ticket from any National Lottery retailer and pay in advance for the maximum number of weeks.
Whatever gift you choose to give the lottery player in your life (or give yourself if you feel so inclined) , allow me to take this opportunity to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy – and lucky – New Year.
