The draw fills in each day, in between lottery draws and inclusion in five draws incurs an additional small fee on top of the standard lottery ticket cost.

How to play the Lotto Plus 5
The Lotto Plus 5 is the easiest game ever launched from the National Lottery, as it’s a supplementary game, playing alongside the main Lotto draw. It’s really simple to play; all you have to do is opt in when you buy your usual lottery tickets. Opting in costs an additional £1 per line of lottery numbers that you wish to play and for this £1 your lottery numbers will be included in five draws.
Lotto Plus 5 draws take place on every day that a UK Lotto draw doesn't take place. So if you buy a lottery ticket for the Wednesday Lotto draw you will be included in the draws on Thursday, Friday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. A lottery ticket bought for the Saturday Lotto draw will get your numbers included in the Lotto Plus 5 draws on Sunday, Monday Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. For little additional cost, lottery players get plenty of extra chances to win.
Lotto Plus 5 Prizes
All prizes for the game are fixed and range from £2.50 for matching three of your lottery numbers to the Lotto Plus 5 balls, up to a £250,000 top prize for matching all six balls. National Lottery officials estimate that the game will create around 500,000 extra lottery winners every single week!
- £250,000 for matching 6 main numbers
- £25,000 for matching 5 main numbers and the bonus ball
- £250 for matching 5 main numbers
- £25 for matching 4 main numbers
- £2.50 for matching 3 main numbers
It is worth noting that in exceptional circumstances, depending on the number of winners overall and per prize category, prizes may be less than stated for the jackpot of matching 6 numbers.
Good causes money raised by the Lotto Plus 5 is used to top up the National Lottery ‘London 2012’ Fund and it is hoped that the remaining £200 million of the money promised to the cause may be raised with the brand new game.
