Birthday numbers galore in the UK Lotto
With the third weekend single rollover on the bounce interest has been high in the UK Lotto so when this weekends draw pulled six numbers between 1 and 30 in the draw it was no surprise to see three winners share the jackpot. Birthday numbers are a common choice to lottery players and they’ve been very lucky for three lottery players who are now celebrating after sharing the £5.9 million rollover jackpot.
You can check the lottery numbers on our lottery results page and see for yourself that each of the winning numbers in last night’s UK Lotto draw had the potential to be a date. It seems that lots of UK Lottery players must have very lucky birthdays as three share the jackpot and a massive 40 more players matched five and the bonus ball – also a birthday number – to win £28,000, much lower than five and the bonus usually pays with so many winners.
The wealth was certainly distributed, each jackpot winner walked away with £1.9 million, each five plus the bonus winner walked away with £28,000 and a massive 1,220 players won £588 for matching five of the six main balls.
That’s a lot of winning lottery players and just goes to show how many of us still choose those lucky family birthdates as our lottery numbers.
If you have family birthdays as your lotto numbers and haven’t yet checked the results then dig out those lottery tickets and get checking now as you might be a big winner in the birthday number rollover draw.
