EuroMillions Jackpot Surges Past £130 Million

Last Updated: Wednesday 14th February 2018, 10:31

The EuroMillions jackpot rolled over for the 13th time in a row last night as nobody matched all five main numbers and both Lucky Stars, pushing the top prize up to £133 million for the next draw on Friday evening.

The numbers drawn last night were 10, 13, 17, 21 and 44, with Lucky Stars 1 and 10. There were over 629,000 UK winners, while two players also picked up £1 million each in the Millionaire Maker. Visit the EuroMillions Results page to see the winning Millionaire Maker prizes and a full breakdown of prizes.

Growing Jackpot

There has not yet been a jackpot winner in 2018, as the last time the top prize was won was on Friday 29th December. On that occasion it was a family syndicate from Dublin in Ireland which scooped £34.5 million, although the lucky winners insisted they would not let it change their lives too much.

The jackpot could continue to roll over for some time yet, although there is a cap of €190 million (currently around £169 million) on EuroMillions. The value of the current top prize in euros is €151 million, and once it reaches €190 million it can remain locked at this level for four draws until the money must be won in the following draw. Go to the EuroMillions Jackpot Cap page for more information about how it works.

Will Someone Win on Friday?

Out of the 380 jackpots to have been won in the history of EuroMillions, 309 of them have been given away on Friday and just 71 on a Tuesday. While the difference can be partly explained by the fact that EuroMillions was only played on Fridays until a Tuesday draw was introduced in May 2011, it is also true that more players generally enter the game on Friday.

The level of participation also increases when the jackpot grows to grand proportions, making it more likely that someone will land the top prize as more of the possible combinations have been entered into the draw.

You need to be in it to win it, and if you fancy winning up to £133 million in Friday’s draw you can either pick numbers online or go to any authorised retailer. Best of luck!
