Lotto and EuroMillions Events Set To Take Place

Last Updated: Thursday 4th August 2022, 10:43

A Lotto Must Be Won draw will go ahead on Saturday 6th August with a jackpot of £20 million, while there’s also a EuroMillions Superdraw planned for September. Find out more about both events here.

£20 Million Lotto Must Be Won Draw

Saturday’s Lotto draw will see the jackpot lifted up to £20 million, making it as large as any prize there has been on the game all year. If a single ticket matches all the numbers, they will become the joint-biggest Lotto winner of 2022.

It’s a Must Be Won draw too, so the jackpot won’t roll over if nobody matches all the numbers. Instead, the top prize would roll down and the money would be shared between every other prize winner.

Match 2 winners automatically receive £5 if there’s a rolldown, on top of their usual free Lucky Dip, while the payouts in all the other categories are significantly enhanced.

In the last £20 million Must Be Won draw, which took place on 4th June to mark the Queen’s 70-year reign, there was a jackpot winner so the prize amounts in the other tiers remained the same as normal.

EuroMillions Superdraw Announced

The date of the next EuroMillions Superdraw has been set for Friday 9th September, giving players in the UK and the other participating countries a chance to win a huge jackpot.

The jackpot will be worth a guaranteed €130 million (approximately £108 million), just like in previous Superdraws.

The last Superdraw, on 17th June, rolled over on the night and climbed all the way to €230 million. A UK player finally won the lot (worth £195 million) on 19th July, becoming the biggest EuroMillions winner in history.

Since then the jackpot cap has been raised to €240 million, so the upcoming Superdraw could pave the way for another record-breaking win.
