UK Lottery Players Win Big
UK lottery players won piles of cash on Friday and Saturday thanks to the special Millionaire Raffle game and some hefty consolation prizes in the EuroMillions and Lotto games. Yes, we said consolation prizes, and that’s because the jackpots themselves escaped the clutches of players everywhere. Of course, the good news on the flip-side of that situation is that there are some massive rollover jackpots to be won in the midweek draws this week – around £58 million in the EuroMillions game on Tuesday and around £9.4 million in the Lotto game on Wednesday!
There were 18 winning numbers in the special Millionaire Raffle game on Friday 18 May, and players who had any one of them on their EuroMillions tickets won a cool £1,000,000. The numbers that made 18 millionaires on Friday were:
The main numbers drawn in the EuroMillions game on Friday were 13, 29, 43, 47 and 50, and the Lucky Star numbers were 09 and 11. There were four tickets that won a second-tier prize of £377,206 each by matching all five main numbers and one Lucky Star, and three of those tickets were bought by UK players. 10 tickets won £50,295 each by matching five main numbers only and 69 tickets matched four main numbers and both Lucky Star numbers to win £3,644 each. Over 3.14 million prizes were won in total, so congratulations if you were one of the lucky winners.
In the Lotto game on Saturday 19 May the results were 01, 19, 39, 40, 42 and 46, with the number 22 selected as the Bonus Ball. Three tickets won a very nice consolation prize of £504,619 each by matching five of the main numbers and the Bonus Ball, and 307 tickets matched five main numbers only to win £3,081 each. Another 424,653 tickets won either £107 or £10 each by matching four or three main numbers, respectively.
All of that means that we now have a £58 million jackpot to play for in the EuroMillions game this Tuesday, as well as a £9.4 million double-rollover jackpot in the Lotto game this Wednesday. Buy your lottery tickets today so that you don’t risk forgetting and good luck!
