For each line of numbers you buy for the main Lotto draw, you will also receive one free entry into the Lotto Raffle for the chance to win one of 50 £20,000 prizes. The Raffle takes place alongside the main UK Lotto game on Wednesdays and Saturdays and has 50 prizes available.
Saturday 7th March 2015
Please don't forget that this bonus game is independent of the main Lotto draw so even if none of your numbers are drawn in the main Lotto game, your ticket could still win £20,000! As with the main Lotto draw, players who have purchased their tickets online will also have their Lotto Raffle codes automatically checked and receive an email notification if they have won a prize.
How to Play
As the Lotto Raffle is a free supplementary game to the main UK Lotto, if you wish to play you must first buy a UK Lotto ticket. With every line you purchase for the UK Lotto, you'll receive one free randomly generated raffle code. If the code on your ticket matches one of those drawn, you'll win £20,000!
Visit the Lotto Raffle results page to check your numbers and see if you're a winner.
Lotto Raffle Prizes
Although Lotto Raffle prizes are always worth £20,000, the odds of winning varies depending on the day you play as more tickets are purchased for Saturday's draw than for the Wednesday draw. These odds shown in the table below are based on non-rollover draws:
|Draw Day||Approximate Odds of Winning|
|Wednesday||1 in 180,000 (based on expected sales of 9 million Lotto entries)|
|Saturday||1 in 320,000 (based on expect sales of 16 million Lotto entries)|
Buy Tickets Online
Buying UK Lotto tickets online is quick, easy and secure. Because the system automatically checks your tickets and notifies you if you win, prizes for tickets purchased online never go unclaimed. You'll also never have to worry about losing your ticket, damaging it or having it stolen, as a copy of the ticket is saved in the lottery system. If you still buy your tickets from a retailer, please make sure that you check your numbers straight after each draw so that you don't join the ticket holders who won a fortune and never claimed their prize! To find out more about unclaimed lottery jackpots visit the unclaimed prizes page.
Claiming a Prize
All Lotto Raffle prizes are valid for 180 days after the draw takes place so don't throw away any tickets without checking your numbers thoroughly.
If you've played the UK Lotto online, the way that you claim your prize will be different to the way prizes are claimed for paper tickets. Visit the Lottery Claims to learn more about the claims procedure. Prizes not claimed within 180 days of the draw will be donated to National Lottery Good Causes fund.
The UK Lotto Raffle is the newest game to join the National Lottery's portfolio and was introduced, along with some other changes, on 5th October 2013. Since then, more than 5,000 prizes of £20,000, totalling an amazing £100 million, have been given out to Lotto players across the nation.
The National Lottery gives 28% of all revenue generated from ticket sales to the National Lottery Good Causes Fund. Since its launch in 1994, the National Lottery has donated more than £31 billion to over 420,000 worthwhile causes and projects across the country. Visit the National Lottery Good Causes Fund page to read more about how the money raised benefits communities throughout the UK.
