£15.7 Million UK EuroMillions Winner Claims Prize

Last Updated: Wednesday 23rd September 2020, 14:03

Friday night’s £15.7 million UK EuroMillions winner made contact with National Lottery officials over the bank holiday weekend to stake a claim for their prize. They will now meet with lottery officials to validate their winning ticket before receiving the life-changing sum.

The winner, the UK’s fifth of 2017, matched the winning EuroMillions numbers 1, 5, 7, 15 and 47 with Lucky Stars 9 and 12 on Friday night, with a further two UK players scoring £1 million each on Millionaire Maker. You can find the full prize breakdown, along with the winning raffle codes, at the EuroMillions Results page.

When UK players pocket huge prizes, they sit down with a winners’ advisor to check their ticket and to discuss their options. Often, representatives of private banks, who are experts in dealing with high-wealth clients, attend the meetings to open a new account for the winner.

Brand new millionaires are put in contact with legal experts and other advisors who can help them adjust to their new life, and officials discuss the benefits of going public with the news or staying private. The lottery offers the same help to winners, whether they share their news with the press or not.

Whilst the UK’s 68th EuroMillions jackpot winner comes to terms with their good fortune, you can join them on Millionaires’ Row tonight by choosing your EuroMillions numbers online. Tickets are also available at authorised retailers and, once you’ve entered the draw, you can sit back and think about what you would do with tonight’s £15 million top prize.
