Dream Number Launch

Last Updated: Friday 16th January 2015, 10:12

The new Dream Number game will be start on Saturday 15 July, and tickets will be on sale from Thursday 13 July.

Dream Number is a game which was specifically created to help raise funds for the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. The National Lottery has pledged to contribute £1.5 billion towards "funding the infrastructure of London 2012" and officials say that £750 million of this will come from Dream Number and a series of other designated games, including scratch cards and all online Instant Win games that are playable at the official lottery web site.

Dianne Thompson, Chief Executive of National Lottery operator, Camelot, commented: "We are delighted to be launching our first draw-based game to support London 2012. Dream Number provides the perfect complement to our big jackpot draw-based games of Lotto and EuroMillions, offering a wide-range of prizes and fantastic odds of winning.

"Sales of designated lottery games in support of London 2012 have got off to a tremendous start, exceeding our first year target. We hope that Dream Number will prove equally inspiring to our players, not only for the chance to win gold themselves, but also to play a part in supporting the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games."

The Dream Number game, which will be held twice each week, will cost £1 to play and gives each player a random seven-digit number. Tickets will be available from all National Lottery retailers and online. To win the top prize of £500,000 you will need to have your seven numbers drawn in the same sequence as they appear on your ticket when reading from left to right. A number of smaller prizes are also up for grabs, and the more numbers you have selected in the right order, the more you will win, as follows:

First 1 digits of your Dream Number in order £ 2
First 2 digits of your Dream Number in order £ 10
First 3 digits of your Dream Number in order £ 100
First 4 digits of your Dream Number in order £ 500
First 5 digits of your Dream Number in order £ 5,000
First 6 digits of your Dream Number in order £ 50,000
All 7 digits of your Dream Number in order £500,000
