Nature Reserve in the Spotlight

A Nature reserve in Doncaster is about to star on a BBC television show in the live final of the National Lottery awards, shown on BBC1. The show will be broadcast to the whole of the UK on Saturday, September 5th and will feature a short film about this project and other finalist projects before the winner of the lotto awards is unveiled to the nation on live television.

The Old Moor Nature reserve, near Doncaster is one of three finalists in the category and is hoping to be named Best Environmental project at the awards ceremony. The show will be broadcast from 7.15pm and if they are the winners, the reserve could walk away with the trophy plus £2,000 of lottery money for good causes to spend on their projects.

The site manager of the project is said to be delighted at reaching the finals and appreciates the support given to the project by voters, you can watch the show and find out the winner by tuning in on BBC1 on Saturday, September 5th.
