Rumours of Teesside Syndicate win

Last Updated: Wednesday 23rd June 2010, 09:21

Lottery Syndicate When one person or a lotto syndicate has a National Lottery win and chooses to stay anonymous then it makes it impossible for us to bring you news about winners but one Teesside newspaper today is reporting a story that one Teesside syndicate may have won last Saturday’s £7.5 million rollover jackpot in the National Lottery draw.

The syndicate are made up of staff at a Teesside doctors surgery and if reports are to be believed the each have collected a quarter of a million after winning the £7.5 million lotto jackpot last Saturday night.

The newspaper in question have contacted the syndicate but staff at the surgery have declined to comment on the win, Middlesbrough primary care trust were also unable to confirm the win.

Even a spokesman for Camelot who run the National Lottery stated that unless the winners go public they were unable to confirm any details or even the town in which the jackpot was won.

If the rumours of a Teesside Lottery syndicate win are true then it will reaffirm the Teesside as one of the UK’s lottery hotspots, there have been more than one hundred and twenty millionaires created in the area since the lottery began and over 320 top prizes won in the region.

If the rumours are true then it is understandable that the syndicate might want to keep quiet about their win, with stories of jealousy striking lottery winners it’s understandable why winners might want to keep their lottery win to themselves.
