Unclaimed Euromillions Prize

Last Updated: Thursday 7th July 2011, 16:17

Euromillions It’s rare that large lottery prizes are unclaimed but time has just run out on one unclaimed Euromillions prize to the tune of €1 million. The winner from Ireland has missed out on their massive jackpot prize despite pleas by the lottery organisation for the winner to come forward and much publicity.

The winning Euromillions ticket was purchased just before the May 1st draw for the Euromillions Lottery and was bought in the SuperValu store in the town of Graigeunmanagh in Ireland. The win has been on the local news stations and the lottery has urged the player to come forward, yet despite all the publicity no winner has come forwards and time has now run out.

The managers of the SuperValu store have had champagne on ice hoping the winner would come forward at the last minute and they have been urging players to check all their old lottery tickets. Using the line ‘you have one million reasons to check those old lottery tickets’ they have organised publicity around the store for weeks now. Despite all this, no winner has come forward and now the €1 million prize has gone unclaimed.

You can log onto the lottery website and check results for up to months previous, there is also a list of unclaimed lottery prizes in its own section. To have a €1 million prize go unclaimed is almost unheard of although thousands of smaller prizes do go unclaimed every single month.

That’s why it’s so imperative to check all those lottery tickets carefully, or for peace of mind why not play online from our pages, you can buy tickets for weeks in advance and the National Lottery even lets you know if you are a lucky winner.
