Will Euromillions player join the rich list

Last Updated: Thursday 17th June 2010, 15:22

Euromillions A quick look at the Financial Times rich list today will tell you that should a UK lottery player win tonight’s £86 million Euromillions rollover they will be projecting straight up the list and become a record UK Lottery winner. Tonight’s draw has rolled over five times and if a UK lottery player scoops the jackpot they would come in 760th on the rich list ahead of some very big celebrity names.

UK lottery players have fared very well on the Euromillions Lottery in the past twelve months with several jackpot records smashed. It all started last November with a £91 million Euromillions jackpot shared by a single UK lottery player and a syndicate from Liverpool. The single winner, Les Scadding became the biggest ever Euromillions Lottery winner with £45.5 million but that accolade didn’t last for long.

Just a few weeks later Nigel Page and Justine Laycock smashed the record again with their £56 Euromillions Lottery win but now there is an even biggest jackpot up for grabs.

If a single UK ticketholder scoops the entire jackpot in tonight’s Euromillions Lottery draw then with £86 million up for grabs, they will become the country’s biggest ever lottery winners and be projected straight onto the Financial Times rich list at place 760. This will put them above the likes of Led Zeppelin members Jimmy Page and Robert Plant who rank at £75 and £80 million respectively.

Of course, you have to be in it to win it and with an estimated £86 million jackpot it’s time to buy your lottery tickets now for the draw.
