Brits fair poorly in Euromillions draw

Last Updated: Tuesday 31st May 2011, 15:00

Lottery BallsWe’ve become known over time as one of the luckiest Euromillions Lottery nations, namely down to the many big jackpots that have landed here over the years. However last night Brits faired poorly in the Euromillions draw, walking away with less than £3 million in prizes in total. One player scooped the £13 million jackpot, but it wasn’t a UK lottery player. Here’s all the news about this week’s Euromillions Lottery draw.

You can check the full Euromillions results and winning numbers on our lottery results page, but the single jackpot winner wasn’t from the UK. In fact UK players didn’t even manage to match the second tier prize. The biggest UK prize winner in last night’s Euromillions draw scooped £27,671 for matching five balls, scored by five UK Lottery players.

The poor luck for UK lottery players meant that just under £3 million was paid out in prizes in the main draw, but there was the Millionaire Raffle too. So if you didn’t fare well in the main Euromillions draw, do check your raffle numbers as you may still be a millionaire!

If you’re in the UK then you do have tonight’s UK Lotto draw to buy lottery tickets for. The next Euromillions draw will be next Friday evening, but we’re on the countdown now as in just five weeks, the Euromillions Lottery are introducing a brand new Tuesday Euromillions Lottery draw, giving lottery players from the UK, and across Europe twice the chance to be lucky every single week!
