Irish Lottery Rolls for the Tenth Time

Last Updated: Monday 6th August 2012, 16:42

Over the weekend saw the Irish Lottery roll for the tenth time. It seems a long time since the start of August when the jackpot was last picked up. Now the prize fund is estimated at an impressive €8.5 million for the next draw, which will take place this Wednesday. The Irish Lotto rarely witnesses these exciting heights as players often manage to match all six main numbers and it was back in March 2011 that two winners walked away with the prize fund of €14,037,236.

The results on Saturday were 01, 10, 32, 35, 39 and 45, and the Bonus Ball was 33. Although the majority of these results were at the higher end of the scale, 32 is one of the most common Irish Lotto number to be drawn. It has made an appearance a total of 81 times since the rules changed on the 4th November 2006.

Although nobody managed to win the jackpot last Saturday night of €7,738,194, someone did win €25,000 by matching five numbers plus the bonus ball. Also over forty thousand players matched three numbers to earn themselves one of the smaller prize of €5.00.

As the Irish Lottery is one the smaller played lotteries and one of the ones to have a lower jackpot available to win, it seems that as the weeks have gone by when the rollovers keep occurring it is becoming increasingly popular to play. More people will be crossing their fingers on Wednesday to hope luck is on their side when the numbers are picked out. For your chance to win on the Irish Lotto you have to be in it to win it so make sure you have your tickets ready for Wednesday night's draw. The Irish Lotto results will be available here within minutes of the draw taking place.
