UK Lotto bang on estimate

Last Updated: Sunday 17th July 2011, 19:15

National LotteryIf anyone thought that sales of Lotto tickets may be affected by the launch of the second weekly Euromillions draw then it doesn’t seem to be happening so far. In fact last night’s UK Lotto draw was bang on estimate; right down to the very last penny. The estimated jackpot for last night’s Lotto draw was £4.4 million, and when the actual jackpot total was announced, it was exactly £4.4 million, right down to the last penny!

So the jackpot didn’t disappoint, and thankfully neither did the draw, as one single lottery player matched all the winning numbers. That lottery player will collect £4.4 million and he or she doesn’t have to worry about the small change as there isn’t any!

Guinevere was the lottery machine used in last night’s draw, used in four out of the last six draws and it was set of balls number 4 used last night, also popular lately and used in the last three draws.

In addition to the jackpot winner there were lots of smaller winners too in last night’s draw. In total over £13.8 million was paid out in prize money from the Lotto draw, shared between over 600,000 winning players around the UK.

At the top of the winners’ heap is the jackpot winner, collecting a cool £4.4 million, but the eleven players who matched five and the bonus must also be celebrating, they’ll be walking away with £114,519!

The next Lotto draw is on Wednesday evening, but before that is the Tuesday Euromillions with a jackpot worth an estimated £13 million. Whatever lottery draws you play this week, good luck!
