Retirement after lottery win

Last Updated: Sunday 17th July 2011, 19:15

Lottery PoundsOne lucky lottery player has been able to retire after a lottery win of more than £1 million on the National Lottery. HGV driver Robert Hutchinson is 62, and was due to retire at Christmas but that has been brought forward now as Mr Hutchinson and his wife Carol from East Sussex won a share of the 11th June Lotto jackpot worth £1.1 million from a lottery ticket bought online!

Mr Hutchinson was in the garden on Sunday when his wife received the email notifying them that there was ‘good news about your ticket’. Together the couple logged on, expecting to have matched three numbers, but in fact they had matched all six numbers in the draw, one of four players to do so.

They already have plans for the lottery win, including a holiday, a new car and of course help for the family, all four children and eight grandchildren, who will no doubt have plenty of ideas for spending.

The Hutchinsons are the perfect advertisement for playing the UK Lotto online, as busy people they could easily have not got around to checking their lottery numbers against the Lotto results and they could have missed out. By playing the UK Lotto and Euromillions Lottery online, you can ensure you never miss a winning lottery ticket as the National Lottery email you if you have a winning ticket!

In other lottery news, tonight’s Euromillions jackpot is worth a staggering £80 million after a seven-times rollover; the countdown is on, do you have your lottery tickets for the draw?
