"I checked the numbers for Saturday's draw on the Sunday morning after I had bought the tickets for the next week," Lesley said. "I couldn't believe it when I realised I had matched five plus the bonus ball."
This was the second time that Lesley had struck it lucky, as she had won a much smaller prize several weeks earlier.
"Only a few weeks beforehand I had been dancing around the house after winning £73 with four numbers, so I didn't dream I would win a big prize so soon afterwards, and with the same numbers!" she explained.
It's normal for a Lotto winner to take some time to get used to the reality of having won a major prize, but it also took a while before her family actually believed that she really had won.
"My family wouldn't believe it at first either - my eldest son Dale thought I was pulling his leg," Lesley said. "The winning line was numbers that he picked and used to play regularly. When he joined the RAF he no longer played as often and I took on his numbers. So far, I've done very well with them!"
Lesley, who is married to James, is now planning to pay off her mortgage as well as buy a hot tub with her windfall. Her six figure success proves that you don't even need to leave your home these days to win the lottery - you can just as easily press the red button on your Sky remote and still stand a chance of making a splash!
