UK Lotto Results for Wednesday 2nd October 2013

Last Updated: Thursday 22nd November 2018, 14:23

The last UK Lotto draw under the old format took place last night with an estimated jackpot of £2 million. Due to the format changes taking effect today, this jackpot had to be paid out regardless of whether or not there was a Match 6 winner. So did a jackpot winner end up scooping that prize or did it roll down to a secondary prize winning tier?

There will be celebrations in one household today as one lucky player was able to correctly match all six main numbers to take their place in lottery history as the final UK Lotto jackpot winner under the old format. That player ended up winning exactly £1,969,122 so if you bought a ticket for last night’s draw, dig it out now to check your winning numbers and find out if you struck it lucky!

As well as the jackpot winner, there were four winners in the Match 5 plus Bonus prize tier who each scooped £151,470. A further 178 winners matched all five main numbers to win £2,127 each while 12,267 ticket holders scooped the Match 4 prize of £67.00. Last but not least, nearly a quarter of a million players won the Match 3 prize of £10.

The new Lotto changes include alterations to the prize tiers, increased jackpots plus the introduction of a brand new game called the Lotto Raffle, which players will automatically be entered into when they purchase their Lotto ticket. Plus, to kick it all off, Saturday’s draw has a guaranteed jackpot of £10 million plus an amazing 1,000 Lotto Raffle prizes of £20,000 up for grabs!

The results for the draw will be available to view on the Lotto Results page shortly after the draw takes place at approximately 21.10 on Saturday evening, although you can catch the draw live in a brand new BBC show hosted by Chris Evans. The National Lottery Live starts at 21.10 and will feature the first 49 to 1 game, the inaugural draw itself plus a special appearance from Olympic cyclist Sir Chris Hoy.

Ticket sales for Saturday’s draw have reopened now, so simply click on the Lottery Tickets page to buy your ticket online for the brand new look Lotto. Good luck!
