Two £10 million UK Lotto Jackpots Yet to be Claimed

Last Updated: Thursday 24th September 2020, 14:11

Two guaranteed UK Lotto jackpots worth £10 million each, which were created to celebrate the launch of the new Lotto, are both yet to be claimed. The first winning ticket was sold in Bradford for the draw on Saturday 5th October 2013 and the second was won on Saturday 12th October 2013, from a currently undisclosed location.

There are two common explanations for why there are delays in jackpot prizes being claimed. The first is that they are taking advice on how to deal with their life-changing win before stepping forward. Jackpot winners often consult with financial, legal and media advisers before claiming their prize so they can decide what to do with their winnings and whether or not to go public before meeting with lottery officials.

The second, and most common reason, is that the jackpot winner has not checked their ticket. The stark reality is that most unclaimed prizes remain so because the ticket holder doesn’t know their ticket has won. National-Lottery.com urge all players to check their tickets as soon as they can after each draw takes place to ensure they do not miss out on potential prizes.

There are several ways to check your lottery numbers on National-Lottery.com. Players can visit the Lotto Results page, which has the numbers for the most recent UK Lotto, Thunderball and EuroMillions draws.

So, if you’re guilty of not checking your UK Lotto tickets for the last two weekend draws do so now –you could be sitting on a ticket worth £10 million!

**UPDATE: It has just been confirmed that the £10 million jackpot won on Saturday 12th October 2013 has been claimed. We will bring you more information about the winner as and when reports are received.**
