Three Lottery Prizes Set to Expire in June

National Lottery officials are urging players to check any old EuroMillions and UK Lotto tickets as three significant prizes are due to expire in June. Each ticket is valid for 180 days after the draw takes place and all three are approaching their expiry date.
The first prize due to expire is worth £68,541 and is valid only until Wednesday 4th of June. The winning ticket was purchased in the City of Westminster and matched all five main numbers from the EuroMillions draw held on Friday 6th December 2013. The winning numbers from the draw were 1, 2, 18, 31 and 36 with 7 and 10 as the Lucky Stars.
The next unclaimed prize is worth a more substantial £116,304 and was won in the UK Lotto draw held on Wednesday 18th December 2013. The winning ticket, which is due to expire on Monday 16th June, matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball and was purchased in the Boroughs of Antrim and Ballymena, in Ireland. The winning numbers from the draw were 2, 7, 25, 35, 40 and 42 with the Bonus Ball of 13.
The largest unclaimed prize is worth a life changing £1 million and was won in the EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle on 31st December 2013. The special draw celebrated the New Year by giving away 25 £1 million prizes and this is the only one to be left unclaimed. If the ticket holders do not come forward before the tickets reach their expiry date, the prizes will be added to the National Lottery’s Good Causes Fund. Established in 1994, the fund focuses on improving the lives of UK residents and helping communities flourish. More than £31 billion has been raised by the National Lottery’s Good Causes Fund and hundreds of thousands of projects have benefited from vital donations.
The National Lottery contributed more than £2.3 billion to major projects including the 2012 London Olympic Games and unforgettable art installations such as the Angel of the North and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. The Good Causes Fund has also contributed to tens of thousands of smaller projects covering a diverse range of causes which include funding for home-grown athletes, grants for local community projects and the financial resources to provide invaluable facilities for those suffering from ill health.
