Stampede for EuroMillions Tickets

Offline retailers could well experience a stampede for EuroMillions tickets over the next couple of days because the Superdraw jackpot on Friday rolled over, and that has set things up for a £92 million game this Tuesday. Tickets will cost exactly the same as usual and the odds of winning the jackpot will also be exactly the same as they would be in a game offering a regular jackpot of £12 million, so the first EuroMillions draw of this week will give players superb value for money. And remember, every ticket has a 1 in 13 chance of winning a prize!
The main numbers drawn in the EuroMillions game on Friday 7 March were 05, 10, 38, 40 and 41, and the numbers 01 and 08 were drawn as the Lucky Stars. Six tickets came very close to landing the Superdraw jackpot, but they missed out by just one Lucky Star number and had to settle for a second tier prize of £316,430 instead. There were 11 tickets that matched the five main numbers only to secure a third tier prize of £57,533 each, and 69 tickets matched four main numbers and both Lucky Stars to win £4,586 each. The total number of prizes won was 4,134,634, and that doesn’t include the Millionaire raffle prize of £1 million that went to the player matching the number CXW334054.
One player won the Lotto jackpot on Saturday night by matching the numbers 02, 09, 12, 26, 31 and 44. The jackpot was worth £2,996,753, and although that wasn't as much as the estimate of £4.4 million had led players to expect, it was still a life-changing sum for the player who was lucky enough to win it. There were 21 tickets that won £11,390 each by matching five main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball number, and 387,850 prizes were landed by tickets matching fewer numbers. Another 50 prizes of £20,000 each were won in the Lotto Raffle game.
The Health Lottery results on Saturday were 17, 26, 32, 43 and 48, and the Bonus Ball was 11. There were no tickets that could match all five main numbers, so no player won a top prize of £100,000, but over 8,000 tickets picked up a consolation prize of some kind. Another ten players won a Hot Ticket prize of up to £10,000 each.
