Pontyclun Players Scoop Postcode Millions Prize

Last Updated: Thursday 24th September 2020, 11:04

Wales has struck lucky in Postcode Millions for the sixth time after Pontyclun residents won November’s £2 million prize. The People’s Postcode Lottery is a special charity game where the tickets are based on where players live. There are daily and weekly draws, all of which offer great cash rewards, but the biggest prizes are given away once a month in the Postcode Millions draw.

The latest winning postcode is CF72 8, and the lucky winners now have a special event to look forward to on Saturday 28th November, when they will find out exactly how much they have all scooped. There will be £1 million divided between players who match the exact postcode which will only be revealed on the day, CF72 8??, while the remaining £1 million will be split between everyone else in the zone.

The event will take place at the National Trust’s Dyffryn Gardens and Judie McCourt, the People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador, is excited about making more players’ dreams come true. She said: “I can’t believe I’ll be dishing out more cheques to our lucky players in Wales. It’s going to be a fantastic day in Pontyclun.”

Port Talbot has twice produced the winning postcode in Postcode Millions, while there have also been Welsh winners from Bridgend, Swansea and Newport. As the lucky players from Pontyclun wait to find out how much of the £2 million prize pot they have all won, ticket holders in other parts of the country can look forward to the next edition of Postcode Millions. If you fancy playing the next Postcode Millions you can still sign up before midnight on 1st December, in the knowledge that 55p from every ticket goes to good causes.

You don’t have to wait that long to try and land a life-changing sum of money either, as Wednesday night’s Lotto draw offers a fantastic jackpot of £8.9 million following a double rollover.  Money from Lotto ticket sales also goes towards good causes, so why not pick up a ticket by either playing online or visiting an authorised retailer anywhere in the UK, and if you pocket one of the top prizes you could throw a party for everyone on your street. Whether you decide to play the People’s Postcode Lottery, Lotto or both, have fun and good luck!
