Lotto Draw on Saturday 10th October Heralds Start of New Era

Last Updated: Thursday 24th September 2020, 14:20

A new chapter in Lotto history will begin on Saturday 10th October when the first draw takes place since a number of changes were made to the game. It was announced back in June that Lotto would be changing, and anyone who has bought a ticket since Thursday morning will have been reminded that the game is now quite different.

Find out all the details about the National Lottery Changes as you look forward to tomorrow night’s game, which offers better odds of winning a prize thanks to the introduction of a new prize tier. If you matched two main numbers in any previous draw, you would have felt frustrated at a near miss, but from Saturday onwards you will now receive a Free Lotto Lucky Dip.

Lotto Raffle has also been adapted and is now the Lotto Millionaire Raffle, as one player will be guaranteed to win £1 million in every draw in addition to 20 other prizes of £20,000. To mark the launch of the new game, this Saturday there will be 25 raffle codes which will all be worth £1 million. It is the most millionaires ever to be created on Lotto and gives participants a better chance than ever before to land a seven-figure sum.

Another change is the increase in the ball pool from 49 to 59 numbers. Whether you’re a massive fan of Hawaii Five-0, have always been fascinated by Area 51, live at house number 52, were born in 1953 or just simply fancy deviating from the numbers you usually play, this is your opportunity to select a different line. If you have lucky numbers already, you can still stick to those!

The final draw to be held before the changes were made happened on Wednesday evening, when the jackpot had to be won and was picked up by a single ticket holder, who netted £3.3 million after matching all six main numbers. Take a look at the Lottery Results page for a full prize breakdown from recent draws.

There will be a jackpot of £4.5 million up for grabs tomorrow, as well as the 25 prizes of £1 million, free Lucky Dips for matching two main numbers and all the usual rewards. You can get involved in Saturday’s draw now by buying tickets online or visiting authorised retailers in the UK. It may be that you think now is the perfect time to join a Lotto syndicate to boost your chances of winning by getting a share in lots of entries without worrying about the cost. Whichever way you decide to play, make sure to check back on National-Lottery.com after the draw, and good luck!
