Lotto Millionaire Raffle Winners Risk Missing Out on Cash

Last Updated: Tuesday 3rd July 2018, 11:38

Each Lotto draw offers at least two chances to become a millionaire, with a seven or eight-figure jackpot available in the main game as well a prize of £1 million in Lotto Millionaire Raffle. However, it seems as if some Lotto players are forgetting to check the code drawn in the supplementary game, running the risk of missing out on the chance to bank a life-changing sum of cash.

At the time of writing, there were 16 major National Lottery wins listed as unclaimed and, of those, nine were Lotto Millionaire Raffle prizes, suggesting that ticket holders might have checked the winning line in the main game, noticed they hadn’t registered a win and discarded the slip without thinking to look up the winning Raffle code. You can find the full list of current outstanding prizes, the winning codes and date on which they pass the 180-day period for claims at the unclaimed prizes page.

Lotto Raffle was introduced in October 2013, initially providing at least 50 prizes of £20,000 twice a week. In October 2015, along with a number of other changes to the game, it became Lotto Millionaire Raffle and began making a millionaire in every Lotto draw, as well as offering 20 prizes of £20,000. If you have not yet developed the habit of checking the second part of your Lotto ticket, make sure you use the Lotto Millionaire Raffle Checker on the Lotto Checker page.

If you buy physical tickets, you should make sure they are kept in a safe place. It must be somewhere memorable and you are advised to check it against the latest Lotto results soon after the draws take place to see if you are a winner. Online lottery players benefit from receiving an email if they are due a prize, as well as having the peace of mind that it is not possible to lose or damage a virtual ticket.
