Euromillions winner sets up charity

Last Updated: Thursday 7th July 2011, 16:05

Euromillions When Brian Caswell won the Euromillions Lottery in June this year he was ecstatic about being £25 million richer, now the 74 year old winner wants others to benefit from his good fortune and that’s why he has set up a local charity to benefit his friends and neighbours. Mr Caswell is from Bolton and this charity should benefit its residents for many years to come.

The Euromillions winner revealed his plans yesterday at an event in Tatton Park, Cheshire to celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of the UK Lotto. Mr Caswell isn’t giving too much away though about the charity until all the plans have been finalised.

After initially sitting back and savouring his win, Mr Caswell and his family have started to enjoy their good fortune. Although keen to remain in Bolton they have moved to a more luxurious home and have also bought homes for their daughters nearby. Mr Caswells only other big purchases have been a new Range Rover and a luxury holiday in Mallorca, they actually chartered their own plane for the occasion in one of their few acts of decadence.

He also still buys lottery tickets every single week, why not is his attitude. If you can win once then surely you can win again.

It’s great to see the Caswell’s enjoying their lottery win and what a wonderful legacy to set up a charity in his honour, which should benefit the residents of Bolton long after he has gone.
