Health Lottery Changes Start This Week With New Thursday Draw

Last Updated: Wednesday 12th August 2015, 09:00 am

Health Lottery fans who enjoy playing the game on Wednesdays and Saturdays will have an extra chance to win fabulous prizes from now on as a Thursday draw will also take place every week. The first draw of its kind will happen tomorrow night and players can spend £1 per ticket for the chance to grab a cash reward of up to £100,000.

You can find out more about the Health Lottery ahead of this week’s exciting changes, which will also allow players to enter their own numbers in the 50p Quick Pick game on Tuesdays and Fridays. The business of selecting numbers can cause many lottery players to scratch their heads, but one lady has this week revealed the unusual method she used to win £51,355 on Lotto.

Lisa Fogie, from Aberdeen, scooped the big Lotto prize on Wednesday 29th July after matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball. She says she has always played with the same numbers, even though they were first chosen together with her ex-partner and they broke up years ago. Lisa said in the Daily Mail: “I've done it for the last 12 years and I kept doing it after we split up.

“I didn't stop playing them because if they came in, I'd have been gutted - but I think he stopped. To my knowledge, he didn't win. I haven't spoken to him directly but he passed a message through a friend to congratulate us, which is really nice of him.” Lisa and her fiance now plan to buy a new home and splash out on a trip to Brazil, possibly at a time of year when they can indulge in their passion for Formula 1.

The Lotto jackpot has been won in each of the past two draws and there will be another chance to land an estimated top prize of £2.1 million tonight. There is also the usual Health Lottery draw this evening and the first-ever Thursday draw tomorrow night, both of which will offer a top prize worth a maximum of six figures. You can get involved in as many games as you like; you just need to buy tickets by entering online or visiting any authorised retailer. Select your own numbers, use an ex-partner’s or have them chosen at random with the Number Generator for either the Health Lottery or Lotto, and then just check back on to find out the results. Good luck!
