The Lottery jackpots just keep climbing

Last Updated: Friday 8th April 2011, 13:01

Money PotBefore the weekend, there were some massive lottery jackpots available in the UK, and after the draws, the lottery jackpots just keep climbing. Friday’s Euromillions jackpot rolled for the fourth time on Friday evening, and now the UK Lotto has rolled again, making it a triple rollover! Last night’s UK lotto draw was worth a staggering £13 million but even with higher than expected sales on lottery tickets, no one matched all the winning numbers to scoop the jackpot.

Triple rollovers are fairly uncommon on the UK Lotto and usually in this situation we would be telling you that Wednesday’s jackpot must be won. However, due to a change in lottery rules this year, the UK Lotto could roll once more as the National Lottery rule change allows Lotto jackpots to roll four times.

Wednesday’s jackpot is worth an estimated £17.8 million, but with brisk ticket sales it could get even higher. Just last night over £11 million was paid out in prize money, despite there being no jackpot winner and Wednesday’s draw could turn out to be even bigger than that! This will certainly be the biggest jackpot of the year and if won by a single player could become one of the biggest lottery winners ever on the UK Lotto.

You have until Wednesday to buy lottery tickets for the draw, but in all the excitement, do remember that there’s also a £68 million jackpot up for grabs on Friday’s Euromillions Lottery!
