Second EuroMillions Jackpot Won in Two Draws

Last Updated: Friday 27th July 2018, 14:46

A Belgian EuroMillions ticket holder became the second jackpot winner in two draws on Tuesday 10th April. The player won €17 million (£14.8 million) to become the 30th participant from the country to take the top prize, consolidating fifth place in the list of most successful EuroMillions nations.

Belgian EuroMillions Winner

The Belgian EuroMillions winner has yet to come forward and collect their prize, so it is not yet known whether they are an individual or part of a winning syndicate. When they do stake a claim they can opt to remain anonymous or go public with the news.

Many Belgian jackpot winners choose to keep their names out of the press, but do reveal certain details about themselves. For example, a player from Brussels picked up €168 million in October 2016 and told lottery officials that he enjoyed cooking with fish and watching the films of Robert De Niro.

EuroMillions Results

The winning EuroMillions numbers for Tuesday 10th April were 14, 27, 39, 46 and 48 with Lucky Stars 11 and 12. The biggest UK win in the main draw was £15,722 for matching five main numbers, with a further two Brits collecting £1 million each for matching the winning Millionaire Maker codes.

The last time two jackpots were won in consecutive draws came last autumn, when a Spanish player won £58.6 million on Tuesday 24th October, with a UK ticket holder banking £15 million three days later.

Next EuroMillions Jackpot

Friday night’s EuroMillions jackpot is worth £14 million if you can become the third person in a row to crack all seven winning numbers.

A special EuroMillions Superdraw is also planned for Friday 20th April, when the jackpot will be a huge €130 million (£113 million depending on exchange rates). Last time a Superdraw took place, the jackpot wasn’t won until it rolled over to reach the €190 million (£165 million) cap, when a Spanish ticket holder took home the record-equalling prize.
