Tonight’s Lotto Jackpot is Worth £2.1 Million

Last Updated: Wednesday 5th November 2014, 10:18

After Saturday’s triple rollover Lotto jackpot was claimed by three separate tickets, the jackpot for tonight’s draw has been set at an estimated £2.1 million.

One of those winning tickets was held by the Agnati Crew syndicate in Stalybridge, who netted a windfall of £2.9 million for matching all six main numbers. Each of the five members have now pocketed a tidy sum of £590,000, but have returned to work at a paper mill as their company was understaffed and they “didn’t want to just take time off or walk away” simply because they had scooped the jackpot! The owners of the other two winning tickets have not yet been identified.

The jackpot win couldn’t come at a better time, as the National Lottery is celebrating the 20th anniversary of this classic game. The very first Lotto draw was held on 19th November 1994, and in addition to creating over 3,600 millionaires in the last 20 years, the National Lottery has raised a whopping £32 billion for good causes across the country. Of course, all the prizes, the tears of joy and the money given to worthy initiatives wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for lottery players!

If you’re keen on getting your hands on this evening’s jackpot or one of the 50 Lotto Raffle prizes on offer tonight, then make sure you buy Lotto tickets in good time, as sales close at 7.30pm GMT in advance of the draw. Visit the Lottery Tickets tab or pop in to see an authorised retailer to buy tickets in person. Good luck!
