UK Lotto Prize Due to Expire This Month

Last Updated: Wednesday 14th May 2014, 13:27

uk lottoTime is running out for one UK Lotto winner to claim their prize as it reaches its expiry date this month. The prize in question is worth £78,482 and was won back in October of last year but the ticket holder has failed to contact officials to claim their prize.

The winning ticket was purchased in Westminster, London for the UK Lotto draw held on 30th October 2013 and matched five main numbers (20, 23, 26, 29, 34 and 41) plus the Bonus Ball (32) to secure the second tier prize. The winner has until 23.00 BST on Monday 28th April 2014 to claim their win before the prize, along with the interest it has generated, is added to the National Lottery Good Causes fund.

An alarming number of UK Lotto prizes go unclaimed every year but this is being steadily countered by the rise of online ticket purchases. Buying lottery tickets online eliminates any chance that a ticket may be lost, stolen or damaged as the system automatically checks tickets and notifies the player if they win a prize. The majority of winnings are paid into the player’s account automatically although winners of larger prizes need to contact Camelot directly to claim their prize.

With the deadline for the £78,483 prize only a few weeks away, National-Lottery.com strongly recommends that any players who purchased a UK Lotto ticket in Westminster around the time of the draw check their tickets immediately.
