Another Rollover for the Irish Lottery

Last Updated: Tuesday 7th August 2012, 09:06

Last night witnessed yet again another rollover for the Irish Lottery. Ireland’s biggest lotto has now rolled consecutively for eleven draws. No players managed to match all six main numbers for a chance to become an overnight millionaire and win the jackpot of €8,396,773. This eleventh rollover has taken the estimated Irish Lottery jackpot close to the ten million mark, with an impressive jackpot of €9.5 million.

The results last night were 8, 10, 23, 25, 37, 38 and the Bonus Ball was 9. The number 38, which was in last night’s draw has proved itself to be one of the more common numbers as it has appeared a total of 83 times. One of the least often picked numbers 25 was also in the draw yesterday. 25 has only been drawn 48 times since the rules changed on the 4th November 2006.

Although no one managed to match the 6 main numbers to walk away with the jackpot, one lucky player did match five numbers and the Bonus Ball to win an exciting €25,000. Nearly 2,000 players matched gour numbers to win themselves one of the lower prize funds of €59.00 and the lowest prize of €5.00 was won by 35,315 players who matched three numbers correctly.

These jackpots aren’t something the Irish Lottery is known for but if they keep on rolling like this they might surpass the highest jackpot seen this year of €14,037,236. This jackpot was won by two Irish Lotto players back in March 2011. Irish Lottery players will be looking forward to the next draw this Saturday to see if luck will be on their side when the numbers come out.
