Britain and France share Euromillions jackpot

Last Updated: Thursday 7th July 2011, 15:52

It was the most exciting lottery draw to take place this year, a triple rollover with £52 million up for grabs. The excitement knocked the UK Lotto rollover into the shade and lottery fever took hold all over Europe as players bought those lucky lottery tickets in the hope of becoming the next big Euromillions winner. The draw went off without a hitch but it won’t be another rollover as two tickets, one from Britain and one from France share the Euromillions jackpot.

Each winner won a £26 million share of the bumper jackpot when they matched all the winning numbers in last Friday night’s Euromillions draw that had rolled over since the New Year creating a massive £52 million jackpot.

It’s a great cause of celebration for the UK who haven’t had many of the biggest Euromillions winners but maybe all that is about to change as this win comes straight on the back of another big Euromillions winner.

It was only in early November that Les and Sam Scadding scooped over £45.5 million on the Euromillions Lottery, that made them the UK’s biggest ever lottery winners and propelled them straight onto the Times rich list.

That’s two massive UK Lottery winners in just a few weeks and of course we can’t forget the instant UK millionaires also made each week on the Millionaire Raffle.

The next Euromillions Lottery draw is on Friday evening and you can buy lotto tickets online now and never have to worry about another draw.
