Daily Play Lottery comes to an end

Last Updated: Friday 16th January 2015, 10:02

There have been some big changes afoot at the National Lottery this year. First we saw the end of the Dream Number draw, and the introduction of the absolutely excellent Lotto Plus 5, now the Euromillions Lottery is going to become a twice-weekly draw. The lottery news has gone on and on, and we have even more for you today as news reaches us that the Daily Play draw comes to an end.

The changes are part of a huge raft of changes to the UK Lotto, brought in by the new owners last year, and they make for an exciting time for lottery players. So far all the changes have been well-received, players love the new Lotto Plus 5, and double the Euromillions draws has to be a good thing.

We don’t yet know if a new lottery draw will be brought in to replace the National Lottery’s Daily Play, but the very last draw will take place on Friday, May 6th 2011, so if you do like to buy lottery tickets for the Daily Play, you only have a few weeks left to do so.

If you are looking for something to play in the meantime, the Euromillions Tuesday draw is set to coincide with the end of the Daily Play draw, and of course there’s the ever popular Lotto Plus 5, which takes place every day there isn’t a main draw.

It may be the end of the Daily Play draw, but in the huge amount of recent changes to the Lotto, there are so many chances to win!
