Eighth consecutive Euromillions rollover

Last Updated: Sunday 17th July 2011, 19:15

Lottery frenzy has swept the UK this weekend as players have tried to get their hands on the £80 million Euromillions rollover. However, that was not to be as the Euromillions saw its eighth consecutive rollover in last night's draw and a jackpot boost estimated to make the Euromillions jackpot jump to a staggering £89 million for Tuesday’s Eight-times rollover Euromillions Lottery draw.

It’s certainly not the biggest jackpot ever seen in the history of the Euromillions Lottery, but it’s certainly heading in the right direction. The estimate is £89 million and if ticket sales are high, we may see it climb even higher than that as lottery players buy extra lottery tickets in the hope of winning the big jackpot. Should Tuesday night’s jackpot roll over, we could see a staggering nine figure jackpot next weekend!

It’s the biggest Euromillions jackpot since the rollover when one lucky player scooped £105 million. That jackpot was created by a Mega Jackpot draw, but back in March, a six-times rollover draw paid two European Lottery players a share each of €138 million! The Euromillions Lottery is known as the lottery with the big jackpots, and it’s little wonder when you consider some of the monster rollovers that have been won over the last few years!

If you are buying lottery tickets for Tuesday’s Euromillions draw then make sure you keep them safe, and then head back here on Tuesday evening to check the Euromillions results straight after the draw, and you can find out if you’ve been a winner.
