Enormous EuroMillions and Lotto Must Be Won Jackpots Up for Grabs

Last Updated: Wednesday 3rd June 2026, 14:54

The coming weekend is a thrilling one for UK lottery fans. On the way is a EuroMillions jackpot so huge it has overridden the EuroMillions Superdraw planned for this Friday 5th June 2026. A Lotto Must Be Won draw is also on the way this Saturday.

Firstly, The Jackpot that Cancelled the Superdraw

Initially scheduled for Friday 5th June 2026, the upcoming EuroMillions Superdraw is no more. These events happen a few times a year when the prize fund becomes big enough, replacing either the regular Tuesday or the Friday drawing (it’s usually Fridays) and the drawing itself is business as usual — pick five lucky numbers between 1 and 50 and two Lucky Stars between 1 and 12.

Why Was it Cancelled?

It is no longer a Superdraw due to the size the jackpot has grown to. Superdraws are funded by a reserve fund called the Booster Fund, which tops the jackpot up to a guaranteed starting amount that’s historically €130 million (approx. £110 million). But when the natural, regular jackpot has been rolling over for weeks and is already bigger than €130 million when the date arrives, the Superdraw is no longer a feature because the authentic jackpot is already bigger than the minimum guaranteed amount.

This is what has happened here. Thus, it is just a regular EuroMillions drawing.

Prize Size and How to Enter

The EuroMillions jackpot coming this Friday currently stands at a whopping £137 million and tickets are available for £2.50 per line. Each ticket offers automatic entry into the UK Millionaire Maker, an additional random selection that uses a Random Number Generator (RNG) to pick from a set (or sets) of winning numbers and letters from the total number of entries in the draw.

Lotto Must Be Won Draw: Saturday

If the EuroMillions experience whets your appetite, the Lotto Must Be Won draw should satisfy it. Saturday 6th June sees a guaranteed Lotto jackpot of £12 million go on the table. No rollovers. No compromises. It has to be won. This means that it’s going away no matter what, which can significantly increase the chances of winning a substantial prize.

What If Nobody Wins?

Lotto Must Be Won drawings happen when the jackpot has rolled over five times before the sixth consecutive draw without a jackpot winner becomes the Must Be Won draw. If nobody wins on Saturday, the money has to be awarded anyway and the Jackpot Rolldown takes place. This means the entire jackpot fund is broken up and shared among thousands of players in the lower prize tiers.
