Euromillions Rollover Jackpot Heads to France

Last Updated: Tuesday 6th September 2011, 13:59

Another Euromillions draw has taken place and the results are in. Unlike the record jackpot last week, this draw did not prove so lucky for UK lottery players and the Euromillions rollover jackpot head to France as one player from the country matches all the winning numbers. In all, £1.7 million went to UK lottery players from the main Euromillions draw, so it’s still worth checking the Euromillions results if you haven’t done so already!

The rollover jackpot reached higher than expected, with £20 million up for grabs in the Euromillions draw. This jackpot went to France and that equates to €23.1 million, which means that Friday’s jackpot will return to an estimated £13 million.

Just three players matched five main balls and the bonus in the Euromillions draw, however none of these players were from the UK. The biggest UK Euromillions winner is the one of six players to match just five main balls. That lucky UK ticket holder will collect almost £43,000 and of course the Millionaire Raffle number must also be taken into account.

Across all nine European Euromillions countries, over two million Euromillions lottery players walked away with a prize from the draw and so there are plenty of happy Euromillions players today.

There are a couple of days now until the next draw on Friday evening but the UK Lotto jackpot goes up for grabs instead tonight. The jackpot for tonight’s UK Lotto is an estimated £2.4 million and you can buy lottery tickets for both that draw and the Friday Euromillions now.
