Fifth Consecutive Jackpot Win in UK on Euromillions

Last Updated: Tuesday 1st May 2012, 16:08

Lady Luck definitely appears to be shining on the UK Euromillions players as Friday saw the fifth consecutive jackpot win in the UK for Euromillions. One lucky ticket holder managed to match all five main balls and the two Lucky Stars to claim the impressive £38,034,639.70 jackpot but the luck didn’t stop there for UK players. The second prize tier for matching five main balls and one Lucky Star saw six winners, one of which was from the UK.

In the third prize tier, for matching five main balls, there were nine winners of which four where from the UK each taking home £205,015.40. The fourth prize tier, for matching four main balls and two Lucky Stars, was won by 96 players of which 19 were from the UK.

Since the beginning of 2012 there have been just seven jackpot winners seen in the Euromillions results; five winners from the UK and the jackpot of £60,355,247 on 6th January 2012 was shared by two ticket holders – one from Spain and the other from France. Are we going to see the UK continue their run of good luck or could we finally see Luxembourg take a jackpot, something they haven’t done since they joined the Euromillions game.

The current leaderboard for overall jackpot wins on the Euromillions looks like this:

Country No. Of Jackpot Winners Percentage of Jackpot Winners
France 53 24.7%
Spain 48 22.3%
Portugal 42 19.5%
UK 33 15.3%
Belgium 15 7%
Austria 11 5.1%
Switzerland 10 4.7%
Ireland 3 1.4%
Luxembourg 0 0%

The jackpot for Euromillions has now reset to the minimum estimated jackpot of £12/€15 million.
