Have you chosen your favourite Lotto project?

Last Updated: Thursday 24th September 2020, 12:42

Every single week, lottery players in the UK raise a staggering £28 million for charitable good causes around Britain with both big projects and small ones getting cash and a helping hand! Each year the National Lottery Awards raises awareness of these good causes and allows lottery players a chance to have their say on how money is spent. Voting has been open a while now for the National Lottery Awards 2011 so have you chosen your favourite lottery project yet?

Time is running out now, with lottery players only having two more weeks to vote for their favourite lottery run project. You can head to the good causes website, or call 0207 960 6828 to vote for your project, which could end up with £2,000 and an appearance on the BBC National Lottery Awards show.

The Awards allow the National Lottery to raise awareness of lottery projects and so just like the actual good causes fund, voting is split into the seven good causes categories. These projects each come under Sport, Heritage, Arts, Environment, Health, Education or Charity and this allows you to vote for the causes closest to you heart.

Every week when you buy lottery tickets, you chip in over a quarter of your ticket cost to charity, so why now have a say now on how that money is spent by taking part in the National Lottery Awards 2011. You only have until February 18th to get your votes in so make a decision now on your favourite project, or vote for something local to your area.
