How to celebrate a lotto win

Last Updated: Tuesday 31st July 2018, 11:39

For many people, the day of a big lottery win, is the first day of the rest of their lives and you can understand lottery winners wanting to mark the occasion. The celebration often takes the form of a brand new Land Rover or a holiday home abroad but one lucky National Lottery winner has chosen a unique way to celebrate his £1.1 million lottery win, he’s tattooed the winning lottery numbers onto his arm!

Wayne Hughes scooped £1.1 million when his lottery numbers proved lucky on 7th August 2010 and that’s exactly what he’s had tattooed on his arm. His brand new tattoo reads “Sat 7th Aug 2010” then on the line beneath his lottery numbers 13, 16, 22, 25, 31, 39, the lottery result that won him the life-changing amount of money.

Mr Hughes only collected his lottery cheque this week and the news that he is a £1.1 million National Lottery winner is taking time to sink in.

Wayne comes from Holyhead, North Wales where he is currently employed by Wilkinson stores, he has no intention of quitting the job he says he loves but will be taking time to enjoy his lottery win, and now take a part-time IT course too.

It’s certainly a unique way of celebrating your lucky lottery tickets and a constant reminder of just how lucky you have been. We wonder if it will catch on with other lottery players? Maybe, although we’re guessing most will still go for the Range Rover or the sports car.
