Lottery win for man who cheated death

Last Updated: Monday 30th July 2018, 14:46

Usually on a Sunday morning, we concentrate on a breakdown of the Saturday night lottery results. However, due to technical issues with the National Lottery this morning, we’re unable to bring you a prize breakdown from last night’s draw. You can check the lottery results on our results page but today’s news is now about a winner who cheated death to win £4 million on the Saturday Lotto draw last weekend.

Mr Tustain from Oxforshire spent 13 weeks in a coma last year after a motorcycle crash , then he had a serious car accident, meaning he had cheated death twice in just a few months. That could be considered lucky, or unlucky, depending on how you look at it. But one thing that is definitely lucky is that last weekend, Mr Tustain scooped over £4 million on the National Lottery!

As soon as Mr Tustain saw the lottery numbers on his television screen, he was fairly sure he had won. Upon retrieving the lottery ticket from his coat pocket the win was confirmed. Mr Tustain immediately phoned his brother, but on getting no answer, promptly signed the back of the lottery ticket, as recommended by the National Lottery and then went to bed for the evening.

He doesn’t know yet what he’ll be spending his big National Lottery win on, but he has already ordered a XC60 Volvo for £30,000. After a lifetime of struggle, this lottery win will make all the difference to the life of Mr Tustain so if you haven’t already checked your lottery tickets against last night’s Lottery results then it’s time to do so!
