Last Updated: Friday 27th July 2018, 15:00

The Lotto draw on Saturday 29th August gave many players the perfect start to the Bank Holiday Weekend, as more than 270,000 prizes were snapped up. Nobody managed to match the six main numbers drawn, 12, 18, 23, 33, 42 and 43, meaning that the jackpot will rise to £5.1 million for the next draw on Wednesday.

The Bonus Ball was 10 and the biggest winners on the night were the six participants who matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to pocket £52,096 each. Other cash amounts won ranged from £25 for matching three main numbers to £896 for matching five main numbers. There were also 50 winners of the Lotto Raffle who each received £20,000. Saturday’s big winners can now celebrate their success and contemplate how they plan to use their new-found wealth. It may be that they stroll into work on Tuesday ready to treat their colleagues to a fantastic party or announce that they have boosted their bank balance enough to take a take an extended holiday on the other side of the world.

Lotto fans can now look forward to Wednesday’s draw, and you can buy tickets online or by visiting authorised retailers. It could just be that you strike it lucky and land a seven-figure windfall. Good luck!
