Lotto double rollover this weekend

Last Updated: Friday 16th January 2015, 09:29

Did you have lottery tickets for last night’s Lotto rollover? At an estimated £7.5 million it was higher than usual, but actually got even higher than expected in the event. Last night, Lotto players were scrambling for a jackpot worth £7.9 million but despite evidence of high ticket sales, no one matched all the winning numbers in the draw, creating a Lotto double roller this weekend!

Guinevere was chosen as the lottery machine for the draw, and set of balls number 6 was used, both sets were also used on Saturday evening, and again last night the combination proved rather unlucky for lottery players.

However, the lottery results as they stand mean that on Saturday evening, Lotto players will have the first Lotto double rollover since mid January and the jackpot is expected to be a bumper one. Double rollovers in the UK usually reach around £11 million, but even before three days of ticket sales, the estimated jackpot for this Saturday’s Lotto draw is £13.1 million; add that to the £51 million up for grabs on Friday’s Euromillions Lottery and it’s easy to see that UK Lottery players have a lot to look forward to this week!

If you are buying lottery tickets for the double rollover draw, take a look at the Lotto Plus 5 option, where you can boost your winnings by taking part in a secondary draw for the chance to win up to £250,000, five times a week!
