Lotto Jackpot Rises To £15.3 Million

Last Updated: Friday 17th February 2017, 11:49

Lotto players will have the chance to snare the largest jackpot of the year on Saturday night, after the top prize climbed to £15.3 million. Nobody has matched all six main numbers since Saturday 28th January, when two ticket holders split £8.7 million, and a run of five rollovers has pushed up the jackpot and increased excitement levels ahead of tomorrow’s game.

There has not been a bigger sum of money on offer since New Year’s Eve, when the jackpot had to be won after going past its cap and a single participant ended up bagging a mighty £26.4 million just by matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball.

If you are wondering which numbers to pick, you can visit the Lotto Statistics page to find a detailed history of the most frequently drawn numbers, the most overdue numbers and much more. The number 40 currently stands as the most frequently drawn number, having appeared 298 times. The most overdue number, 57, has not been drawn since 30th July last year, if you reckon it might be ready to reappear this weekend.

Other players like to use numbers of special significance to them, such as birthdays or addresses, which may feel lucky and are easy to remember. Another method for choosing numbers might be to simply use the Lotto Generator, which creates a completely random line in an instant.

There will also be a guaranteed prize of £1 million in the Lotto Millionaire Raffle, as well as 20 awards of £20,000, and anyone who claims a big win will be able to make exciting plans for the future. If you fancy getting involved, you can play online or by visiting an authorised retailer, and you could just become the biggest winner of 2017. Good luck!
