Lotto Player Lands £1.9 Million Jackpot

Last Updated: Thursday 17th August 2017, 09:25

One lucky Lotto player wasted no time in capturing the game’s £1.9 million jackpot. This latest victory comes just days after another ticket holder ended a run of five consecutive rollovers to land a £14.4 million top prize in Saturday’s draw.

The winning Lotto numbers were 7,17, 28, 43, 44, 45, with 54 appearing as the Bonus Ball. This is the twelfth Lotto jackpot to be won this year, a total that takes 2017 to within reach of the number of top prize wins in the whole of 2016 (21). The draw also saw the consecutive triplet 43, 44 and 45 appear for the fourth time in Lotto history. For more stat-based titbits, head to the Lotto Statistics page.

This is the third time this year that the jackpot has been won in consecutive draws, following double success in March, when sums of £19.1 million and £1.9 million were claimed back to back, and in April, as prizes worth £15.1 million and £3.4 million were landed within the space of three days. Lotto fans are yet to witness a trio of wins in 2017, but players will remain hopeful of achieving this remarkable feat in this Saturday’s draw.

Wednesday evening’s draw also proved prosperous for a further 825,538 players, with prizes ranging from a free Lucky Dip ticket for ticket holders matching two main numbers to £612 for participants able to correctly match five main numbers.

The draw also provided plenty of joy for one ticket holder who correctly matched the Millionaire Raffle code RUBY 1446 3782 to walk away with a £1 million prize, while 20 players scooped £20,000 apiece in the same draw. The jackpot total has now reset for the second time in less than a week and currently sits at £3.2 million. So, if you would like to enter the Lotto winners’ club, you can choose your numbers online or pick up a ticket from any authorised retailer throughout the country. Good luck!
