A Lotto rollover winners

Last Updated: Sunday 17th July 2011, 19:15

It’s been an exciting weekend for Lottery players in the UK, with both the Euromillions and UK Lotto boasting rollover draws. As reported the Euromillions has rolled for an eighth time, pushing the jackpot up to a staggering £89 million, but the UK Lotto draw saw lots of winners, right through the prize tiers. The UK Lotto jackpot reached £7 million and in the event, two players matched all the winning numbers to share the jackpot.

Guinevere was the machine chosen for Saturday night’s Lotto draw; used for the last three draws, Guinevere is proving popular, and it was set of balls number 2 in Saturday’s draw, the same as the Wednesday rollover. In the draw, over £16 million was paid out in prize money, which showed what a Lotto winners there were!

The two jackpot winners will each collect just over £3.5 million, but players matching the second tier prize did very well too. Just seven players matched five balls and the bonus, and each of those players will collect over £200,000 each! In all there were over half a million prize winners in the draw, with prizes ranging from the jackpot down to £10 for matching just three main balls.

The next UK Lotto draw is on Wednesday evening, and after the rollover was won on Saturday night, the estimated jackpot for Wednesday’s draw is £2.4 million. If that seems like small fry to you then maybe you’d prefer to buy lottery tickets for the £89 million Euromillions rollover tomorrow evening instead!
