Online Lottery winner almost missed out

Last Updated: Tuesday 11th September 2018, 13:49

A lottery player who buys lottery tickets online, almost missed out on his jackpot win after forgetting to check his lottery tickets. Graham Pyatt won £1.5 million playing the National Lottery online but forgot to check the results. It wasn’t until he went to purchase his next lottery ticket that he realised he was a lotto winner. Mr Pyatt always plays just one lucky dip line every week on the National Lottery and usually checks his numbers immediately after the draw.

However last week he forgot, and had it been a paper lottery ticket, the win may have been added to the long line of unclaimed lottery prizes at the National Lottery website. But of course, if you buy lottery tickets online then your tickets are checked automatically and you are sent an email if you are a lucky winner.

Mr Pyatt always checks his lottery results immediately after the draw, but it takes just one forgetful moment to lose a big lottery prize. When Mr Pyatt logged onto the National Lottery website on Thursday to purchase his lottery ticket for the following Saturday he received the message telling him he was a winner, he checked his account and found he had won almost £1.5 million.

He now plans to help his son and their family with the cash and make some home improvements.

Mr Pyatt is the perfect example of why you should buy lottery tickets online, by buying lottery tickets online, you never have to worry about missing a draw and the National Lottery will let you know if you are a lucky winner, taking away the worry of unclaimed lottery prizes.
