Last Updated: Thursday 5th December 2013, 13:19

One lucky Lotto ticket holder will have been celebrating the past few days after winning Saturday’s Lotto top prize. The single ticket holder in question won the £4.2 million Lotto jackpot after matching all six of the numbers drawn in Saturday’s draw and becoming the latest jackpot winner in this lottery. Little is known about this jackpot winner so we shall have to wait and see if they come forward to claim their winnings or remain anonymous.

If you are yet to see the numbers from Saturday’s Lotto draw they were 8, 15, 24, 40, 43, 45 and the Bonus Ball was 33. A single ticket won the jackpot that came out at £4,293,105, originally estimated at £3.8 million, however whether this ticket was purchased by a single player or as part of a syndicate remains to be seen. This jackpot win now means that out of nine Lotto draws that took place in March 2013 the top prize was won a total of seven times. This means that the jackpot winnings for March stand at an impressive £27.8 million which was won over seven draws by a total of 16 ticket holders, so it will be interesting to see if players have the same luck for April.

The first Lotto draw of April 2013 takes place tonight and there is an estimated jackpot of £2 million on offer to win so make sure you have your tickets ready if you fancy scooping this jackpot and becoming the first top prize winner in the Lotto for April 2013.
