Two UK Players Among Three Jackpot Winners in Rare EuroMillions Draw

Last Updated: Wednesday 22nd April 2026, 09:54

An unusual EuroMillions draw on Tuesday night saw three players split a mammoth £125.5 million jackpot, including two ticket holders from the United Kingdom.

The jackpot had soared beyond £120 million following a run of 11 consecutive rollovers, but it was stopped from pushing on towards one of the largest prizes in history in surprising circumstances, as three entries across Europe matched the winning numbers.

The winning numbers were 13, 16, 29, 40 and 47, with Lucky Stars 3 and 4, so there’s no obvious pattern or reason why multiple players used that selection. It could be that the three winners were all given the same random combination, although nothing is yet known about the lucky ticket holders and how they played.

‘Another Great Night’

As well as the two UK players, the third winner came from France. Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at National Lottery operator Allwyn, said: “It’s been another great night for EuroMillions players as two lucky UK winners have won an incredible share of tonight’s £126 million jackpot prize. These lucky ticket holders join the £181 million jackpot winner from 10 March – another big UK win.”

The last time that three players split the jackpot was almost three years ago in May 2023. It has been almost 10 years since there was a draw with more than three winners, so it is unlikely to happen again anytime soon!

The two UK winners from Tuesday night have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim their share of the jackpot, which works out at £41.8 million each. That makes 18th October the deadline for claiming. They must also decide whether to go public with their stories or stay anonymous.

Don’t forget to check your numbers every time you play EuroMillions to make sure that you don’t miss out on a prize. It’s also a great way to review your raffle code for the Millionaire Maker, which can easily be overlooked if you are just focusing on the main draw.

In the meantime, the EuroMillions jackpot will now reset to £14 million for the next draw on Friday night. Choose your numbers online or visit an authorised retailer to buy a ticket, then view the results as soon as they are available. Good luck!
