Weekend Lotto Jackpot Won by Two Players

Last Updated: Thursday 5th December 2013, 13:19

On Saturday night there was a Lotto rollover jackpot on offer to win therefore many players were crossing their fingers and hoping to strike lucky and win themselves this rollover jackpot. This was in fact the case as the results from this draw show that the weekend Lotto jackpot was won by two players, who both matched the six numbers drawn to share the jackpot that was worth £6.1 million therefore each ticket holder won just over £3 million.

The Lotto results from Saturday’s draw if you haven’t seen them already were 8, 10, 27, 34, 40, 41 and the Bonus Ball was 48. This Saturday draw saw over 471,000 players win a prize which meant that a whopping £14.7 million was won in total in this weekend draw.

Whether these winning Lotto tickets were purchased by single players or as part of a syndicate remains to be seen however what is known is that they both matched the six numbers drawn to scoop the jackpot and become the second Lotto jackpot winners for February 2013.

This win means that the Lotto jackpot goes back to basics and as the next Lotto draw is on a Wednesday the jackpot on offer to win is estimated at £2.1 million. The Lotto jackpot hasn’t be won yet this month in a mid-week draw therefore it will be interesting to see if that changes in this week’s draw.

Have your Lotto tickets ready if you like the sound of winning Wednesday’s Lotto jackpot and don’t forget the results will be available to view online shortly after the draw has taken place on the Lotto results page.
